Dr. Yang has a Ph.D. from Wuhan Univ (in Cartography and Geographical Information Systems, 2010) and is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Information Engineering, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). He will be at GeoVISTA from August 2017 to August 2018, working on GIScience research topics in collaboration with faculty and students in GeoVISTA. His past research includes a range of topics in 2D and 3D terrain representation and generalization, geovisualization, spatial analysis, and GIS applications.
