Geovisual Analytics course offered in Fall 2010

The Geography Department at Penn State will be offering a graduate course on Geovisual Analytics (GEOG 597D) during the Fall 2010 semester. Geovisual Analytics focuses on visual analytic tasks and tools involving geographic aspects of data, information, and knowledge. Developed by co-instructors Alan MacEachren, Anthony Robinson, and Frank Hardisty, the goals of this course are for students to: (1) develop a comprehensive understanding of this emerging, multidisciplinary field; (2) apply that understanding to a tightly focused research problem with a geographic information emphasis.
