Four teams are working on elaboration of an international research agenda in cartographic/geographic visualization. The first step in this process has been development of working bibliographies in each of the focus areas identified in the research agenda outline [a link back to the 21st century document goes here].
The teams will be meeting following the International Cartographic Conference in Ottawa (August 22 and 23, 1999) to work on draft white papers covering each theme. Over the next several months those white papers will be reviewed and revised several times, leading to eventual publication as a journal special issue sometime in 2000.
