Following is a partial list of some recent conferences we've attended: Mark Gahegan and Frank Hardisty helped teach a workshop on Map Making and Visualization of Spatial Data in the Social Sciences for CSISS in July, 2002 The GeoVISTA Center had a large presence at the dg.o2002 National Conference for Digital Government Research in May, 2002. Several GeoVISTA graduate students, including Xiping Dai and Bill Pike, presented papers at the Association of American Geographers Annual Meeting in March, 2002 Alan MacEachren and Mark Gahegan took part in an October, 2001 NRC workshop on Geospatial Information and Information Technology Alan MacEachren co-lead a Varenius Workshop on Cognitive Models of Dynamic Geographic Phenomena and Their Representations in October, 1998
