The GeoVISTA Center hosts Supporting Young Women in Geography

On November 11, 2009, The GeoVISTA Center hosted middle school students involved in the Supporting Young Women in Geography (SYWIG) program at Penn State. GeoVISTA members Scott Pezanowski, Dr. Justine Blanford and Rui Li presented some of their research to the students. This program, sponsored by the Geography Department and Supporting Women in Geography (SWIG), is designed to show the students some of the possibilities of a geographic education and to generally get the students excited about Geography.
