Diansheng Guo recieves UCGIS award
Diansheng is selected for a paper presentation at the 2003 University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS) Summer Assembly, which will be held from 16-20 June, 2003 at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, California. Eighteen students are selected from over fifty universities and other research institutions to present their papers orally in two series of concurrent sessions. The students selected for paper presentation will receive complimentary registration and accommodation (a $500 value)and a stipend of $300 to help offset travel costs.
The upcoming Summer Assembly will include plenary sessions and workshops presented by Marc Armstrong (University of Iowa), Michael Goodchild (University of California at Santa Barbara), Craig Knoblock (University of Southern California), John Landis (University of California at Berkeley), Carolyn Merry (Ohio State University), and A-Xing Zhu (University of Wisconsin at Madison).
