We always like having visitors! Whether
you're interested in coming to study or work here or just
want to pop in for a visit, here's where we are:
The GeoVISTA Center is located in
206 Walker Building at Penn State's University Park
campus.
Getting to University
Park:
From the south (US 322):
- From US 322, take the Atherton
St./Business 322 exit.
- Follow Atherton St. north for approximately
5 miles. Continue north on Atherton past the intersection
with College Avenue. Walker Building is the six-story white
building on your right, 200 yards past College Avenue.
- The nearest visitor parking is
located at the Nittany Parking Deck, adjacent to the Nittany
Lion Inn. To get to the garage, continue north on Atherton
past Walker Building. Turn right at the third traffic signal
(Park Avenue). Travel west on Park for approximately 100
yards; the parking garage entrance is on the right.
From the east or west (Interstate
80):
- From I-80, take Exit 24 (Bellefonte/State
College) to SR 26 south
- Continue south on SR 26 for approximately
5 miles, to the T-intersection with College Avenue. Turn
right onto College (still SR 26).
- Follow College Avenue for 10 miles
to the intersection of College and Atherton St. Turn right
(north) on Atherton. Walker Building is the six-story white
building on your right, approximately 200 yards past College
Avenue.
- The nearest visitor parking is
located at the Nittany Parking Deck, adjacent to the Nittany
Lion Inn. To get to the garage, continue north on Atherton
past Walker Building. Turn right at the third traffic signal
(Park Avenue). Travel west on Park for approximately 100
yards; the parking garage entrance is on the right.
From the University Park Airport:
- Northwest, US Airways, and United
have regular air service to University Park.
- From the terminal exit, turn left
(west) onto Airport Road.
- Airport Road turns into Fox Hill
Road, then Fox Hollow Road as it bends south. Follow Fox
Hollow Road to the intersection with Park Avenue (
approximately 4 miles from the airport).
- Turn right (west) on Park Avenue.
- Pausing to admire the grandeur
of Beaver Stadium, proceed west on Park Avenue for 1.5 miles
to the intersection of Park Avenue and Atherton St. The
nearest visitor parking to Walker Building is located at
the Nittany Parking Deck, adjacent to the Nittany Lion Inn.
The entrance to the garage is on your right, just prior
to the Atherton Street traffic signal.
